But when the customers are waiting for the fork, they start to get bored, and may leave the restaurant if they wait for too long. Eating gives them a little relief, so each time they eat, they\u2019ll be able to wait a little longer afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>After about 4h30 of work (with Flash), I\u2019ve got this roughly working gameplay prototype full of ugly programmer art:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" id=\"attachment_312166\" style=\"width: 650px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/oneforkrestaurant_proto3.gif\"><img alt=\"The upper bar is the waiting jauge for each customer, and the lower bar the amount of meal they've eaten.\" class=\"size-full wp-image-312166\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/oneforkrestaurant_proto3.gif\" width=\"640\"\/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The upper bar is the waiting jauge for each customer, and the lower bar the amount of meal they\u2019ve eaten.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Done:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic gameplay mechanics (click on tables to swap the fork)<\/li>\n<li>A skeleton to generate customers with various stats (eating time, waiting time, face, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next Steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do all the Art (and I usually suck at this)<\/li>\n<li>Define a list of customers with balanced stats (easy to say, hard to achieve)<\/li>\n<li>Add some more mechanics. For example, I was thinking that some customers wouldn\u2019t want to use a dirty fork, so, for them, you\u2019ll have to wash the fork before sending it to them (right now, every customer have rather loose hygiene standards ;))<\/li>\n<\/ul>","time":"December 14th, 2013 12:06 pm","title":"The One Fork Restaurant (update #1)","title_was_empty":false}
