{"assets":[],"author_link":"author\/codexus\/","author_name":"Codexus","cat":"LD #28","categories":["LD #28"],"comments":[],"epoch":1387210920,"event":"LD28","likes":3,"metadata":{"p_key":"79809","p_author":"Codexus","p_authorkey":"0","p_urlkey":"288819","p_title":"I AM FAIL","p_cat":"LD #28","p_event":"LD28","p_time":"1387210920","p_likes":"3","p_comments":"0","p_status":"WAYBACK","us_key":null,"us_name":null,"us_username":null,"event_start":"1386892800","event_key":"20","event_name":"LD28"},"source_url":"2013\/12\/16\/i-am-fail-2\/","text":"<p>After a streak of 7 finished ludum dare in a row, I must admit that LD28 defeated me.<\/p>\n<p>What went wrong?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Well, I had a bit of a cold all weekend, so I wasn\u2019t very productive and since I was very tired, I decided to let myself sleep as much as I could so I just didn\u2019t work as much as usual.<\/li>\n<li>It took me a while to motivate myself to make a game for this theme.<\/li>\n<li>The theme restriction prevented me from moving my game into a different direction, that might have been more fun and easier to finish because I had to stick to my initial excuse for \u201cyou only get one\u201d<\/li>\n<li>I lacked a clear and strong concept for my game, so I ended up toying with it rather than moving toward a finished game in a straight line.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing expectations, especially after LD26 which went very well, I have had increasing expectations about what the quality of my game should be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But anyway I had fun, I didn\u2019t finish but I did spend most of 3 days playing with Unity, ZBrush, Substance Designer, etc and I got some embryo of a game out of it.
