I\u2019ve been studying game development for a while, and I\u2019ve been toying with many, many unfinished projects for even longer. I suppose it\u2019s time I put my money where my mouth is, and actually get something done. I\u2019ll be developing on Windows 7, using Multimedia Fusion 2 as my engine. To up the challenge, I haven\u2019t ever done anything with it before (I just purchased it through the Humble Weekly Sale,) and figure leaping right in is the best way to learn (Famous Last Words.)<\/p>\n

On the art side of things, I\u2019ll be mostly hand-drawing my art in Photoshop, using a Huion tablet, as I feel that will best allow me to illustrate my work without spending too much time on it. Since I\u2019m going to a pixel-art style, it should really speed up the process, and will hopefully allow me to create a more cohesive style at the same time.<\/p>\n

For sound, I\u2019ll be using a number of pieces of software. For general composing, I\u2019ll be using FLStudio, using a number of free Soundfonts. I will also be using Audiopaint and sfxr, as I find those allow me to create some more interesting sounds. Of course I\u2019ll be editing in Audacity<\/p>\n
