Our Jam group stood strong as we lost our third developer right out of the gate and two of us continued on with a game concept waaay to ambitious for our diapers.<\/p>\n<p>But no excuses and no regrets! we have paved the foundation for an awesome game and we want to continue at it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-30\/?action=preview&amp;uid=30008\" target=\"_blank\">I present to you:<span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong> Gimbal Fighter<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/08\/b8fd59a0f4238b80bc2e5877d481725f.png\"><img alt=\"Snazzy space stuff\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-388041\" height=\"309\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" src=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/08\/aefd2a18a7ef40ea6a82d35bd889aa64.png\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot0-300x168.png 300w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot0-550x309.png 550w\" width=\"550\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Losing the battle against an invading armada of battleships, you are tasked to turn the tables of war by flying into enemy territory and deploying a newly designed Warp Gate. Your tiny space ship \u201cGimbal Fighter\u201d is designed to warp in, drop a warp beacon, defend it till construction is built, and wait for reinforcements.<\/p>\n<p>The game play was designed around a rotating spherical cockpit that would allow you to rotate freely, shoot in any direction, and maintain flight path\u2026 Great for guerrilla warfare bombing runs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot3.jpg\"><img alt=\"30008-shot3\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-388053\" height=\"308\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" src=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/08\/b7670ddb5f34fdcaf9c02ee132caacff.jpg\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot3-300x168.jpg 300w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot3-550x308.jpg 550w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/30008-shot3.jpg 1277w\" width=\"550\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We certainly did not get as far as we wanted to in the development of this game, but at least we had fun doing it and we\u2019re definitely going to keep going till we finish.
