So I added in some analytics using Countly, which I like because it\u2019s real time.<\/p>\n<p>Numbers are super high at \u2026 20 new players a day, well super high for me I guess since I didn\u2019t promote this thing so\u00a0I was a bit surprised the other day\u00a0when I saw this.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" id=\"attachment_362611\" style=\"width: 281px\"><a href=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/05\/c82cef9263ccd711437c80077e235381.png\"><img alt=\"going analytics with countly\" class=\"wp-image-362611 size-medium\" height=\"300\" sizes=\"(max-width: 271px) 100vw, 271px\" src=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/05\/8922397030845bbe69b4c538d18e8d6d.png\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/going-analytics-with-countly-271x300.png 271w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/going-analytics-with-countly-550x608.png 550w, http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/going-analytics-with-countly.png 860w\" width=\"271\"\/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Exponention growth, but from where?<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I did post it on Kongregate and Playdot, could K be that popular? Problem with Countly is it\u2019s not made for web, it\u2019s for mobile, so they don\u2019t capture the source\u00a0url. So I spent a few minutes implementing Google Analytics to a new build, that didn\u2019t work so I did something very low tek: verion prefix with the domain, 1.1p for playfot and 1.1k for kongregate and in case they hotlinked it to my server I kept 1.1 for http:\/\/mcdroidgame.com. Then I waited to see which number was increasing the most. But how is it if someone steals your free thing and makes some money off it?
