At the time, I did not consider that this effect, one of the many effects employed to create a scary atmosphere, could be potentially unsafe to a person with epilepsy or a similar condition. I have removed the line in question in both the Web and Linux versions of the game (it is still in tact in the source, however); the game should be safe for all players from now on.
