At all. And it\u2019s hard to get used to how much it isn\u2019t. (I still end up trying to \u201cthrust\u201d in panic on the more dangerous levels.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ludumdare.com\/compo\/ludum-dare-31\/?action=preview&amp;uid=1712\"><img alt=\"2014-12-07_20-04-27\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-424448\" height=\"469\" src=\"\/data\/posts\/2014\/12\/2a5612e28aa2b6aeb1a2aee5ecb61739.png\" width=\"550\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a peek at how I made the graphics: a trick I\u2019ve been wanting to try with grid paper, a pencil, and a felt-tipped marker. Black and white filters easily get rid of the blue lines, leaving the lines to be filled (or not).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/TvnkdNa.jpg\"><img class=\"aligncenter\" height=\"346\" src=\"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/TvnkdNa.jpg\" width=\"620\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Usually graphics aren\u2019t my strong suit, but I think it worked well! It was very easy to get some graphics that weren\u2019t my usual lame programmer\u2019s pixel art, and because it wasn\u2019t pixel art, it wasn\u2019t a pain to scale up for fullscreen mode.<\/p>\n<p>Only downside is that now I have to apologize for my poor handwriting.<\/p>","time":"December 10th, 2014 12:36 am","title":"Orb Fetch: GOLD, behind the scenes (LD31 Compo)","title_was_empty":false}
