Beach, waves wiping out your hard work, kids, seashells, flotsam, King Crabs and pesky seagulls.<\/p>\n<p>The terrain is represented as a heightmap of\u00a0rectangular boxes (we call them pins) on a grid. We\u00a0considered full 3D voxels at first, but concluded that we\u2019d need too many to get the level of detail we wanted. By merging the voxels from\u00a0one vertical stack\u00a0into one object, we save a lot of resources.
