My absolute favorite was "Fictional physical phenomena"

That just filled my head with thousands of Ideas for games instantly and works for every genre of game. You can come up with a weird phenomenon as a mechanic in a platformer or you can create a story around a mysterious phenomenon. Just so many possibilities.
