I agree with most of what Alex said (the post right below me), though I feel like he misunderstood the "let's somehow keep LD alive" initiative as "let's rob this corpse for all it is worth".

LD is unique and irreplaceable, and while I like DJam because friends, I would never support any decision that would go against the core LD.

I don't see why one couldn't support LD and help Mike while trying to find a platform that'd make keeping the continuity of the guy's work possible in tough times.

Supporting a "side jam" is the first thing that came to my mind. I have no personal relationship with Mike and never talked to the guy, so I have no idea of what to do on the "LD front" besides supporting the guy.

That said: I'm not exactly from a rich country, and my spending habits are downright atrocious, so this hurts like a motherfucker, but:

I will keep this up as long as I'm able to. Some of you might find publishing this to be in bad taste, but I'm leaving this screenshot here with intent and as a plea to make all of you think really hard if you can't spend a dollar (or a ten, or a hundred) for the sake of a guy that spent decades creating a unique space for all of us, and imho deserves it.

Please go ahead and make your own bad taste screenshot posts, just remember to remove any sensitive data.

And also, once there, please don't let the atrocious tax that's a part of the payment discourage you.
