For those of you outside North and South America, this usually means it starts **Saturday December 1st** at a not-so-great time. :sweat_smile: \n\nBut wait Mike, you said _final_ December? Please explain!\n\n## Ludum Dare schedule change starting in 2019\nStarting next year, Ludum Dare events will take place _twice_ per year: **Every April and October**.\n\nWhy the change? Well, keeping up Ludum Dare's 3-events-per-year schedule is something I've been struggling with for many years. Long story short, doing fewer events per year is something that will help me personally, and in general should help us run better events.
