Don't use bosca ceoil for your game!

Bosca ceoil is an app for making music, but the instruments sound really bad. Please don't use it. Especially the percussion. It sounds like someone blowing into a microphone. It's sometimes better to just not have any music, then to have bad one.

You can create a better app and then we will all use it.

@thornest Yes, and it will be made in unity! It's a great idea! Thank you!

It could very well happen that nobody likes it or sound bad. It could very well be that someone criticized it in a destructive way. Who nows.

@franciszek-pyrc Hello, buddy. Then what would be an alternative software? Any links, titles would be appreciated. Cheers!

@room606 There's other software that maybe isn't as simple, but it's better still. I don't know much, but I use lmms.

@room606

I generally use Sibelius (paid) or MuseScore (free), which are great if you have a background in music.

There's also BeepBox, which is more general purpose and looks vaguely similar to bosca ceoil based on a quick look at the latter. I've used BeepBox once or twice, and it's a nice quick tool for chiptune.

There's also Pytchie, a tool I developed to procedurally generates music, but the synthesis is pretty primitive and it's still a work in progress.

Edit: a word

@jeremy-ryan Hey, Pytchie is a cool tool with the awesome potential. I even submitted few PRs there in the past! Thank you for this project.

@jeremy-ryan Isn't Sibelius a sheet composing application and not a music making application? I know that you can export your sheet music as an audio file, but still. Also good job of not going insane, from what I've heard.
