Scale back, quick!
24 hours minus sleep is clearly not enough time for what I have mapped out in front of me here. In these final hours my task is to cut out about 75% of the planned features and jam in some rigged new things so that I have something that can at least be considered a game in the sense that it's interactive and has some measurable objective. I don't think I ever actually explained what I was doing here on my LD page, but I'll try to explain it in full after the time is up. Until then, I think I'll slice out the city-building half completely (despite my lovely turtle artwork for it ;_;) and throw in some collectible items and a score board, so at least you can try to gather as much as possible before you die. It's a crude, simple goal, but it worked for the Atari era, right? It'll have to do for me today as well.
