Let's talk about AI
What do you think about the number of games using AI around here? I confess it makes me sad and I think it's unfair, especially since it's not mandatory to disclose that you used AI in the development of your game.
I honestly think this takes away a large part of what makes a game jam a game jam: being creative and creating visions, ideas, and feelings from scratch. Not to mention the socio-environmental impact. We don't need more people consuming tons of water and environmental resources to generate an image copied from somewhere else.
You may disagree with me, and I can't say I respect that, but that's my opinion!
To everyone who worked hard and did everything by hand, congratulations! I'm very proud to be part of a community that still makes games the way they should be made. I love you all and tell me what you think about this! I think it's an important discussion for the future of Ludum Dare.
