A very easy way to model organic things is by using metaballs to get the general shape, then convert them to a mesh, apply subdivision surface (iterations 2) to get finer geometry, and use the sculpting tools (mainly Grab) to get the general shape.\n\n![bird_sculpting_fast.gif](\/\/\/raw\/c23\/b2\/z\/72a72.gif)\n\nThen, I use [QuadRemesher](https:\/\/exoside.com\/) to get a reasonable topology and \"Project From View\" to get a UV map that I can align with the base image.\n\n![projection_mapping.gif](\/\/\/raw\/c23\/b2\/z\/72a73.gif)\n\n## Rejected Names\n\nWe are not good at coming up with names and this jam was no different. \n\n![badnames.png](\/\/\/raw\/c23\/b2\/z\/72a75.png)\n\n## Postjam version\n\nWe've added a [postjam version](https:\/\/poboy2.itch.io\/coo-coo-chef-postjam-version) to make the controls easier and remove some confusion with the input scheme!
