Narrative games on LD (Getting back to you!)

I made this post about narrative-driven games on LD 59 and you all sent me a ton of great games, thank you!

I had the pleasure of playing every single one and I’m back to report the results.

Nest, this is Pilgrim — a cute, engaging story about long-distance lovers with a really fun signal deciphering mechanics. photoem2026-04-23/em01-16-21.jpg

Pyre Lookout — a Disco Elysium (and I suspect Firewatch) inspired adventure that was both hilarious and charmingly bitter-sweet. (Also Scott is funny as hell and really moe in a pathetic way—love that for him) Screenshot 2026-04-23 014603.jpg

SAVE OUR SOULS — fun, intriguing and with a nice twist! Has a ton of potential to make you laugh, surprise and even scare you. Screenshot 2026-04-23 201542.jpg

Shroomice — super cute text adventure, which you can tell was made with love! The voice acting is also a nice touch hehe Screenshot 2026-04-23 205544.jpg

Trace In The Either — a stylish and funny adventure. Can’t believe you guys made this in just 3 days — it’s incredible!!! 2026-04-23.png

n 0 m i n a l — fantastic writing and a gripping story wrapped in fun puzzles, which beat my ass quite badly but made the texts into an anticipated reward. Screenshot 2026-04-23 212755.jpg

I also wanted to note a few more narrative games I enjoyed a lot this LD!

The Dark Spots in Space — One of those games you can’t stop playing until you 100% it! A must play for all Sam Barlow enjoyers. photoem2026-05-04/em19-26-13.jpg

On Ivy Boulevard — A stylish mystery game with a very tight and engaging loop and amazing narrative. Had a lot of fun figuring this one out! photoem2026-05-04/em18-46-30.jpg

The Lighthouse — A cool Lovecraft inspired pixel art quest which reminded me of The Last Door. photoem2026-04-23/em22-03-32.jpg

Go check out these games guys!

I humbly offer you to check out our game as well! Go infiltrate a secret society in Vice Signalling and uncover a conspiracy against the Emperor… if you dare. Image Sequenceem001/em0780.jpg

And once again: if you’ve made or loved playing other narrative games this LD, please share them in the comments! I’d love to play more if I’ve missed any entries <3

Have a great jam everyone!
