WHO APPROVED BUYING THE SUN!?
Not solar panels. Not a nice branded flashlight. The actual strategic concept of "what if we just dropped a star on the enemy" has apparently moved from whiteboard joke to approved battlefield expenditure.
Thousand Suns evolves the Orbital Laser into something the finance department cannot responsibly classify as equipment. It charges up like a procurement scandal, burns across the battlefield like a line item with no spending cap, and exits before anyone can ask for a receipt.
Budget damage summary:
- Orbital Laser now evolves into Thousand Suns, which suggests someone saw one orbital laser and said, "Fine, but can it be more legally indefensible?"
- The strike now gets a dramatic charge-up, giving Finance several seconds to scream before the invoice lands.
- The beam sweeps through the horde with the calm confidence of a purchase order nobody read.
- It collapses out afterward, which is convenient, because so did the quarterly forecast.
- Survivors get a spectacular new answer to enemy pressure, while Accounting gets a spectacular new reason to update the risk register.
Orbital laser was the first weapon I implemented on LD59s second day; blueish and earth shattering ray from the sky. I'm happy to share Orbital Laser can now be upgraded into Thousand Suns which is significantly faster, and still deadly.
Unlocking Thousand Suns requires Orbital Laser lvl5 + Spike lvl 1
