Oh baby, I'm in!

Too crude? :innocent:

I've been preparing for this LD for a while now. Hopefully it'll pay off!

My toolset: - Engine: Duality (C#, 2D) - Art/Animation: Aseprite - Base Code: An Asperite importer I created so I can just drag & drop spritesheets into Duality and have all the animations work. I also laid some groundwork for a combined keyboard + gamepad input handle, so I can just check for multiple keybindings with one "control". For instance, "Jump" could be spacebar and Z on the keyboard, while also being A on the gamepad. Still basic stuff hopefully.

I may end up streaming some of the process, but this depends on if I think I can really focus or not. It can be hard to be creative while people are watching! :nerd:

I'm still pretty new to Duality. My hope is that the time spent this last week learning the engine will make the upcoming creation process smoother. Being able to quickly program the mechanics and having more time to spend on level design and polish is my goal.

Also, I'll be entering the Jam with two friends, both new to game development. We'll see if dipping their proverbial toe in the gamedev waters will spark some inspiration.

Good luck to all the participants out there!
