Are you allowed to have a friend, family member, stranger on the internet (e.g. somebody you find on LDJAM) to test and give feedback for your Compo game before submitting it?

I played a game that had strange steering that made the game to hard (the developer memorized his game level while testing it himself). If he had let some fresh eyes play it and give feedback then he could have fixed it.

In the rules it says: "Compo games are created entirely from scratch by one person" and also "Certain Bug Fixes are allowed. You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline."
