My favorite game so far: We made a game while camping
I've been trying to play as many games as I can (tough with a full time job, trying to sell a house, and a baby!), and I came across one that just cracks me up and I had to share. It is titled... ahem... "We made a game while camping"

This game is so jammie it makes my heart smile. It chronicles the (apparently) true story of some friends trying to program a game while camping before their batteries run out. You play as the fictional new friend who must run around and try to find power sources for your friends' computers. Gameplay-wise, it is a simple top-down game where you fetch different supplies and try to combine them in strange ways.
I find this game interesting because, on paper, it sounds really gimmicky and boring to me, but in execution I was glued immediately and played for 30 minutes before I figured it out. The music goes a long way - it is cool, frantic, and just slightly silly enough that it fits the situation perfectly. Also, the "puzzles" are very well designed - they are clever RPG-style item fetching puzzles that are just strange enough to be funny but are obvious enough that they can be solved on your own. There are lots of little touches that I like about this game, from the MS-painty style features to the fact that, if you lose, then game just shuts down - I laughed out loud when this happened. Also, why is the musician a pig? Loads of style here.
Man, I just really liked this game. It is definitely worth a loovk! Cheers to you, Lucas and Tyler @loadsofmana.
