Cell Battles
I'm really happy with the game I made for this Ludum Dare, I think it is my best entry so far.

The main thing that I like about my entry is that the cells are displayed using a single shader. I decided that rather than trying to draw art, which I'm not very good at, I would 'code' the art. This shader ended up using volumetric rendering in 2D and then a weighted voronoi effect applied over the top. This shader than has an array of points sent to it which are the positions of each cell to show.
I'm also really happy with both the music track I made, as well as the simple sound fx made when a cell is destroyed. This only has 2 sounds but I think it works very well.
All in all, I'm really happy with this game, there are still a few things that I would have preferred to have done differently, one of these is the UI, which I ran out of time to do properly. The other thing is that I should have done more levels.

There is one problem I have with the main shader, this is that it makes use of a large number of uniform variables, this is fine for a dedicated Windows (and I think Linux) build, but not for WebGl. This is due to OpenGLES having a lower number of allowed uniforms and so can't compile. So everything is pink. If anyone knows of a workaround for this I would love to hear it, but in the mean time I can't make a web build, unfortunately.
