LD 44

Should we keep development going? Help us decide!

title.png

I'm interested to know if our game 60 Second Supermarket Sweep is worth continuing development on. To do so, it would be great to have some more detailed feedback from you, the people who have played our game.

If you have a few moments and feel like leaving us some detailed feedback here are some questions we'd like answers to:

  • Did you enjoy this game? Would you play it again, or recommend it to a friend?

  • Would you like to see the concept for this game expanded?

  • What elements of the gameplay do you enjoy the most?

  • What elements of the gameplay did you not enjoy?

You can leave your feedback here, you can comment on our game page instead.

Thank you in advance for your feedback, it is really appreciated. We will play and review your game in return.

Ludum Dare 46

I guess this is happening

Looks like the government have cancelled my plans for the weekend that had otherwise conflicted with LD this year, and with nothing else going on I guess this is happening. Been experimenting with trying to learn pixel art this week and trying out GBStudio as an engine (mainly for the novelty of playing my games on original hardware). I love the 1-bit/limited palette art style, but I'm really bad and slow at making it myself, definitely going to stick to the programming I think. So far I don't have a team, so if you're more of the artist type interesting in teaming up then let me know.

6 hours of development later

We have something that sort of works. Still a long way to go with adding assets and creating the task system, let alone adding in animations, lighting, particle effects etc, but for now, some good progress so far.in progress.png

Day 2 Progressing

Most of the assets are now done and in the game (music still on its way) just need to finish hooking up all the code and putting together the quest system properly, and spend the rest of the jam adding animations and sound effects. Still need a name for our game as well, hopefully we'll come up with something soon.

End of Day 2

Not quite as much done today as I would have liked, found it really hard to stay focused this afternoon. Good news is that we have music for the game, and all of the assets are in, as well as most of the core code. Just need to rework a few things and update the UI. Hoping for a good nights sleep and a more productive day tomorrow.

Putting in the finishing touches, before doing our first test build. Hit the follow button to be notified once it's out! Looking forward to playing and rating tons of games over the coming weeks once this is over...

Right time to get back to polishing!

Jake, Zack, and Chad's Day Out - Now available in your browser!

title card final.png

Your best bro Chad has a really important date to go on, and has asked you to look after his pet lemming Zack and handle a few chores for him. Can you manage everything and keep Zack (or his replacements) alive before Chad returns home?

First time jammers - send me your games!

I know how hard it is to make a game in 48/72 hours, and how much getting those first reviews really makes it all worthwhile, so while I now go to bed to get some much needed sleep, leave me a link to your games in the comments and I'll make sure to prioritize your reviews in the morning. Looking for people who have just finished their first game jam game only right now. I'll be rating and playing other games once I've completed this list.
