Note to self: let friends playtest during the jam next time!
Except a feature to increase the speed and tweak the levels more, what else would be good to improve?

It is always hard to know how to tune the difficulty for a game jam game. Often we get both comments that the game is too hard from some players and too easy from some even though they are playing the same game.
What do you think of this one?
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/rocket-madness

There are quite many games that don't have a web build.
I know that some things are not working perfectly in web, but as it is so much easier for people to play, why do you choose to not make a version for web?
Our game is web based anyway :)

After a few jams and playing a lot of jam games, here are a few findings for a good game jam game:
A web browser version: Sure, web is not the perfect platform for non highly optimized games. But if you want as many people as possible to try your game, a web version is the way to go.
Easy to understand: Many games have long tutorials or too complex controls. As most people want to try out many games, making a game that takes some time to even understand does not help if you want that people should play through the whole game. Having a cool end of your game does not help if no one finishes it.
Small feedback things for the user: Having transitions between levels, particle effects, camera shake at events and other small thins make games feel much more alive.
Making the backgrounds moving: A lively background makes the whole game feel much more alive. Just make some trees slightly moving in the wind or anything similar helps. We did not have time for that in this one, but will for sure do it next time.
If you have time: Try the game on a low end computer and see if you can optimize it to work well on it, so more people can play the game smoothly.
Feel free to try our game and feedback if we have implemented our own tips.

Another jam completed. I'm surprised every time how much that can be done in a weekend.
Try out our game, it has web build and an online leaderboard!

I'm happy that we managed so well this time, our team was reduced to two people this time but we made it anyway!
It has a web build and an online leaderboard, how high score can you get?

It has a web version, try to beat our high scores!

Try out our web based game! Deliver as much as you can, and don't crash the trucks!
Things we have learned from previous jams: - Keep the scope down - Make the whole game loop ready as early as possible to have time to design levels - Start programming as early as possible, better to quickly prototyping than planning too much - Always make a web build so everyone can try your game

Who can get highest score before the voting ends? Our game is running on web!

Some more game tuning is needed. Hope we find balance in the game!

Try out our space game with a limited space station! (Yes, it works in web browsers)
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/limited-in-space

After a few game jams we have still not learnt to really reduce number of features, and some critical bugs appeared close to the deadline but we finally managed.
Learnings (yet again) - Keep the core gameplay very minimal, then add features - Run the game in web browser now and then during development if you want to export to web in the end - Make the gameplay simple to understand (if you want people to bother playing your game, not sure if our gameplay was simple enough to grasp this time)
Try our game if you want, it works in web browsers.

Our game works in web browser and has an online high score. Can you beat the score?
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/limited-in-space

Why are so many games missing web version? It is not difficult to export for web with modern game engines, so I can't understand why are there so many games without an online version!
Our game has a web version anyway and also online leaderboard, can you beat the high score?
