First time using 3D
And that's what I made in around 3 hours

Your speed when you are in the air can't be changed, so you have to accelerate before jumping.
Does it feels good ?

Do some of you know how to solve this kind of problems on Unity ? ^^'

Naaaah, just kidding  (I'm dying inside, please help me) We have (almost) all the basics we need to setup. Now I'll let my friend from the other side of the Earth (well, sorry to teach you that, but it's not flat...) build the levels. With all the (crappy) code I made, the Level Design will be easier : you can add as many levels as you need, the game will adapt itself!

I'm pretty happy about everything I learnt from this first 3D game. Even if we don't make it (we still don't have sound, musics, light, sfx etc.) this adventure has been really rewarding!
For all those who haven't finished yet : hold on tight!

The characters keeps running, make him avoid obstacles. Yep, it's a bit simple atm, but at least we have the basics physics with ~30 minutes of Godot taming

But it is far from what we aimed to do... I think we'll have to adjust our expectations for this little game ^^
Hey fellow Jammers
I hope you all achieved what you want for this 46th LD! @Deakcor and I just finished and released our little and beloved game : PostCat :smiley_cat:
Here's what it looks like :

Feel free to give it a try right HERE
For us it is now time to sleep! Cheers :kissing_cat:

Now that I have your attention: @Deakcor and I are looking for 2D & 3D artists (& a Sound Designer if it's not too much to ask) for this Jam. We use to make our arts by ourselves but this time we'd like to build a bigger team so we can focus all our energy on the coding mecanics.
Our native tongue is French but we are both able to speak English, we're on GMT+02:00 (it would be more practical to have a similar time zone, but we accept any motivated people).
We aim to take part in the Jam (as we wouldn't have a lot of time during the next weeks) so it will most likely look like a rush than a marathon.
It would be nice to synchronize the team before the LD50 starts, we'll have a Discord to communicate and use Git to share sources (we can teach you the basics if necessary  ).
Our Dev stack is Godot, of course we don't have requirement on your own tools as you are able to export your files in the formats we will need in the end !
You can reply on this message, I'll try to be reactive. The best would be to contact us on Twitter (@Deakcor & @Number6406)
I won't have much time this weekend, but I got the notification from the Discord server. I wasn't planning on jumping in, as I didn't even know that LD57 was happening right now.
However, the topic gave me some inspiration, and even though I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff lately, I decided I'd give it a try and reconnect with game making for a few hours and take some time for myself.
Here's what I came up with after 2 hours and a bit of struggling because I haven't made anything for almost 3 years...

I let you guess what tools I'm using 🐱👤
I wish you all a good Jam and a lot of fun!
As always, I saw too big, but at least I'm near to having a small gameplay loop! I hope to be able to implement it and start working on sound / fx and improve graphics
