I made it!
My game got 20 ratings! I'll be playing a bunch over the weekend, too, so comment your game below!

I've been out of town the last few days but I'm ready to get back in the groove! For all of you who submitted your game to me and are waiting, here's my current list (not accepting new submissions, currently).

I had a lot of fun this time round, thanks all! I didn't have nearly as much time as I wanted to rate games, so I fell a little behind on that (sorry, those who were expecting it). Thanks to
@bocodillo @qookiezz @game-coder28 @anaconda-games @x-budsterized-x @moski @solluxx @smogen @wheffle @cpttritium @noethelazydev @saramartins @chipmonkey @urnext7634 and @vkmicro for rating!
Looking forward to LD41!
For those of you with time, can you rate them all?

Originally conceived for Ludum Dare 38 (though not developed), White Cactus Project is my latest game. The website is finally live here, and the game is currently slated for a 2019 release. I'm currently rewriting the player code but once that's done, I'll be able to upload some videos...
What GIF recorders do you use? I'm trying to find a good one but my file sizes always end up massive. Any ideas?
In the words of the immortal master Yoda...
I've finally gotten around to remaking my LD38 entry, A Relatively Small World, in Game Maker Studio 2. I'm adding a lot of cool functions, puzzles, and animals, and possibly even a couple more levels.
Play the original and tell me what you think could be added!
In preparation for LD41, I'm remaking ARSW from scratch in GameMaker Studio 2. I've made a lot of progress and added some cool features, like camera follow and 3D audio. I also reworked the walking animation so it doesn't look like he's dancing a jig around the planet.
A lot of people said they had a hard time distinguishing between the zones on the planet, so I added things like dust puffs and trees to help identify zones a bit better.
I'll be redrawing the cities as well with more detail so players can see them better.
The website for A Relatively Small World: Expanded Edition is live! Progress is coming along swimmingly: I'm adding a prologue, updated graphics, and tons of optimization upgrades.
You can check out the site here.
Hoping to get most of this done before LD41!

I wonder if the same guy suggested both of those...
Can we all agree that that's technically what a video game is? Since the player remains in the center of the screen you are technically controlling the world around him...
Ah, well. We could make cool weather cycle games.
2 days left!
I'll be using these tools for the jam this weekend:
Development
Game Maker Studio 2
Graphics
Paint.net
My trusty pencil and scanner
Audio
Adobe Audition
Fender Champion 20
Other
A long, long playlist of Midnight Oil
Planning to get a good amount of sleep every night and hopefully I'll finish on time!
It's become somewhat tradition for me to post some art samples before the jam, so here we go:
I sent this into Nintendo along with a Switch development pitch (which was rejected) but I still plan to make the game in the future.
Bring it on!
I've got a good one. See you in 48 hours.
As per tradition I had to scrap my original idea (mixing Cooking Fever with Metroidvania), I was never going to get the art done in time. So I have a second idea... pictures coming soon.

Published at the last moment!
You can play it here.
Those darn highscores weren't sorting (plus the game freezes when typing a username)!
Squashed those bugs, though. You can play it here.
