i think after this one i'll introduce a new mechanic. i've been thinking about lasers.

even though i started a day late, i did manage to finish 5 levels of increasing difficulty. pretty happy with how this one turned out, i hope you enjoy the eccentric gameplay.

i've released a post-jam update on the official TIC-80 site: http://tic80.com/play?cart=3559
new features:
1) time stops when dragging a piece
2) there are now arrows pointing to collectibles you cannot see
3) level transition animations telling you how many turns the previous level took
(the original jam build on my itch page is untouched, of course.)
hello all,
i've just released a DLC for one of my recent games: https://verysoftwares.itch.io/85butterfexe

just heard that Ludum Dare is starting, i'm already in my work mode so i might as well take the plunge!

the time has come to make a silly narrative game. there is a plot about collecting too much i guess but the main draw is unhinged encounters with eccentric creatures
i've been sharing some of my hand-drawn artwork recently, and it's been well-received, so i thought i'd experiment with putting that style into a game

the systems for interacting are in place. you click to collect items, this can cause a response. an inventory item can be used for another context-dependent response.
unusually for me, there is no gimmick beyond this. the fun comes from simply exploring dialogue trees

https://verysoftwares.itch.io/gathering is out now (for Windows). sadly i was not able to produce a working web build due to there being too many assets apparently. the game is fully voice acted after all, unusually for a jam game.
it is also very silly and i will make more of it. exciting times
