This game was to big for me to complete for the compo, but I made it in time for the Jam.
This is a "sequel" to my game for LD32, Material Exchange. http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=35857
edit: switched to unity player, webgl is unplayable

The music drove me a little bit nuts, but the ghouls coming at you through the walls can get quite tense!
Liked the ending as well.
Thanks for sharing! Well Done!
There could be even more complex combinations of puzzles with the levitation and ice blocks :)
I don't know how but I got a red/black glitchy power-texture at first (saw it when I used the weapon on an ice cube), I thought it had some kind of use but it made the texture glitch on the block barring the next door.
I didn't understand how to kill ghouls so I ran through the whole level :p At the end it said I killed 3 of them though.
Maybe it could be more tense if you couldn't kill them but use come power-texture to restrain their movements (some slow/trap power ?)
Anyway it was fun testing it, good job :)
I also think that in a game like this, combat makes no sense whatsoever. Sure sucking the spirit out of a ghoul may sound fun, but the combat itself wasn't very good - there could have at least been some kind of feedback, so we know we are hurting it. But the point is, it doesn't even fit.
I think this game should have been solely about solving environmental puzzles (think Portal - don't look at me like that, you know a Portal reference was coming!) rather than fighting creepy pieces of cloth.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the game - but I think that time could be better spent designing challenging puzzles rather than creating ghouls which IMHO added too little to the gameplay.
By the way, nice Treasure at the end ;)
The only downsides are music and grapgics, but I guess it's the tradeoff of making a game singlehandedly.
Anyway, I had fun playing your game and completing it to the end. Well done!
With some polish and a heavier focus on the puzzles, I think this could be a much better game!
For future improvements, it is always appreciated to be given the option for a run and jump button. Some subtle animations for the weapon also adds a lot to the overall experience. Looking forward to see an improved version in the future!
