Isolation by nicklink483

made by nicklink483 for LD32 (COMPO)
Divide and conquer. You must separate your enemies from their allies.

If your enemies go too long without contact with others, they perish.

But you cannot contact them yourself!

To isolate them, pick up and place down paths to prevent contact.

Note: To pick up a path, press the Spacebar while you're traveling on a path. A path cannot be picked up if it will leave a vertex stranded. To place a path, press F while you're at a vertex, then go in the direction of a missing path, and it will be laid down if you're not at the edge of the grid.

I don't really see how the theme plays a role, but it is a fun game.

Awesome concept and mechanic! I couldn't figure out how to reliably pick up the path that I wanted, which made things very difficult. That said, pretty fun!

No weapon is an unconventional weapon - I really enjoyed the game, it was quite challenging than expected at first. For further gameplay another level or two with different layouts and fixed connections could be added.
Nice entry!

Puzzle games are hard to do. But this is truly (and I mean it) good.

Really engaging mechanics. I felt so much tension trying to seclude each circle without getting hit. I've only played one game that was even anything similar to that. It was an old Game Boy color game that I don't even remember the name of.

Interesting concept, but I don't what you can do with that. It's good enough. Thumbs up ++

Wow, really enjoyable puzzle! It's lacking some sounds and although the controls are described ingame, it took me too long to finally get them (tried to use the mouse together with F and SPACE). Nonetheless I will definitely play until I win at least one time :-)

Very clean, understandable game. Excellent presentation and matching the theme. Could be a good casual mobile game with some different level layouts, perhaps with some variable length (or travel speed, or blinking) paths.
