Cave In by tielbyrd

[raw]
made by tielbyrd for LD31 (JAM)
A short little game created for the Jam. Dig your way out!

Ended up a lot different than I planned, but that's alright! This was my first LD and I'd barely touched Unity before now.

Everything in the game excluding a few snippets of code were created by me!

(Notably, I used a slightly altered version of prime31's 2D character controller.)

Pretty solid although I think that it would be great if the gameplay was more original. Felt very much like a template for me.

Physics is really awesome. It's great mixture of real collisions and gravity with object unrealistically warping through each other. :) Maybe adding more well-designed objects and few levels and this game would make this game REALLY great.

a little bit discouraging at first, but very satisfying once you get the hang of it.

Really enjoyed the physics. I like how people are saying "quick little game." I guess was too OCD for this to be quick for me. I had to have everything stacked nicely. haha. I expected the character to not be able to jump as high as it does. I think I would've enjoyed the the challenge of a shorter leap.

Kudos on learning an engine during a jam! I did notice that I could drag objects so that most of their sprite was outside the wall on the edge of the screen, when I let go the collision resolved the objects out of the screen, which made me able to clear objects out of the level. Just a heads up. Nice work on the game :)
