@Ken Scoot, thanks for the feedback!
I didn't finish the game. Too long, maybe create several maps (small to bigger) to increase difficulty.
The first person view is pointless, it would of been cool if it added something, like things that aren't on the map.
You should of have added an extra camera so the map does not clip through the walls, and some sound too.
Nice game)
By the way, the looking-down-and-see-map mechanics actually reminds me of Dreadhalls, an Oculus Rift horror game where you have to look down to see the map.
The projection mechanic is neat, but not something that hasn't been done before. It sounds like I wasn't the only one who just used the 2D map (since you can see the entire picture) with the awkward control system, with a Win95 screensaver going on in the background.
I forced myself to finish it, and I didn't really feel rewarded.
Suggested improvements:
Add something in the maze to change things a little. Vines to climb with a second layer, enemies, tunnels, something interesting.
Add some music
Add some sound effects - footsteps or something. People really underestimate how much they add to a game.
Add more content. Just the one drag of a level with no variation isn't fun.
Add some sort of narrative. For this type of game, having a voice explaining some sort of story or something really adds to the depth of the universe.
But all in all a good game.
