Going to Other Planets by jonnopon3000

This is a bit of a silly one with no real purpose; in reference to Stargate SG-1, you must travel to procedurally generated worlds and collect all there is to collect.
You'll encounter enemies, items, a strange abundance of TNT and some horrifically messed up textures.

Originally planned as a procedural dungeon crawler, working from near scratch slowed me down and restricted the feature set quite a bit.
There're a couple of in-your-face bugs (collision, textures) that ruin the feel for me, but I'm excited to take the original concept on to further development.

This marks my first semi-successful forway into the wonderful world of WebGL.

I consider this a wild technical advancement for myself, but not necessarily a game. More of a get-lost-and-become-bemused-at-the-lack-of-thematic-cohesion simulator.

Work on this project and the engine it contributes to can be followed on my Twitter, GitHub and Google+ below.

This was quite a weird game.

Haha, indeed! The concept and thematic context got away from me a little I think, and though it's relatively broken in some cases (I'm very bitter that texture sampling seems so off), I'm taking it on for external work to see if I can't meet what I believe to be the idea's potential.

Looks like it has promise, but it's hard to play because the collisions are glitchy and some of the graphics seem off. The procedural generation was cool though; wasn't expecting the portal to generate new areas each time! Would be interested to see what it becomes!

Oh cool, stargate buddies :D
Pretty good work for your first try at a language (or first released thing with a language?), especially with ambitious idea!

Very simple for the theme, and too easy (AI doesn't even shoot towards you) the movement is a bit touchy aswell. It's kind of cool though!
