Instead of doing a game about small worlds, I made a game about small planets. Use the arrow keys to move your player around your planet and use space to pull in the surrounding planets to make yours grow.

I really enjoyed making this type of game, it's not something I usually make so it's refreshing making a fun little action game. Especially when everything's neon. I had lots of fun making this and I hope you all enjoy playing it. There's a highscore chart on Kong where this is hosted so try and beat my highscore :)

Made in AS3 using flash builder, flash cs5.5 and photoshop. Graphics were initially all coded in until I turned them into bitmap graphics in photoshop for memory usage. This game already is pushing it having a whole load of objects on screen at once, and its not optimised due to time constraints so, if it starts to lag, I'm sorry.

I didn't use any frameworks to build upon, just built from scratch since it's so small. I used a bunch of code snippets I've built up over the past few years, but thats not really a personal library, just code knowledge.

I used TweenLite for my animations, Hires stats for debugging and google analytics for stat tracking.

Audio was created using garage band for the background music and as3sfxr for the SFX

The cannon rotation speed feels just right, and the game is pretty neat. Cool take on the old "big fish in little pond" game-types.

Nice play mechanic and visuals. Some more depth would be good of course :) Good job overall.

Fantastic concept - simple, but highly addictive! What's more, you've polished the game to near perfection, which is rare for a Ludum Dare game.

Great work!

It looks like a simple and boring game, but is quite addictive actually. The music also helps a lot to have the urge to keep playing it. Nicely done!

Really nice soundtrack you have here. The game is pretty fun as well, with only a little bit of an issue with the "cannon" circling a little too fast for my taste. Otherwise a solid game.
