Hm...very odd! No, it's fun, and I think with some more work this could actually be a really good game. Well done.

This looks amazing! Unfortunately it is pretty confusing. Under normal circumstances it might be fine, but I'm trying to play a LOT of games right now.

Loved this. It's nicely presented and quite fun to play, although I do think that the difficulty needs balanced a bit. The idea itself could be expanded upon with more cells to do different things and different types of pathogens too.

wow, rts cellular automata tower defence, now I've seen everything. I was a little confused at the start (I did read the instructions, but I'm the learn by doing type), so I was plodding along building resource blocks getting into the groove, when OMG! Pathogens!! clickclickclick clickclick clickclickclick, what did the instructions say?? clickclickclickclickclick.

Maybe a tutorial mode would help us mortals out a little :) Don't get me wrong, I liked it and scored accordingly. Nicely done.

I'll be coming back to this one to play again later when I've got more time to learn it.

When I right click the web version, it causes the context menu to come up instead of upgrading the adjacent cell.

Also, I don't really know what the game is. What is the win condition? Am I supposed to just continue building the immune system. And why am I upgrading blocks?

The idea is good. The graphics are nice. The audio is pretty good too. I just don't _why_ I am doing any of this.

Excellent first entry for ld. Keep it up!

Most of your questions are answered in the introduction ; )

I somehow missed how to influence what special blocks spawns. If you click at resource blocks at the edge a wall is spawned if the resource block is more surrrounded you get a slow block. But how to get a defense block?

MaskedPixel: Sorry about that, I guess the only solutions is to play it full screen or download the windows version.

V0ID: you need to surround a block with available resources (the blue type, white means a resource is being used), and right click a shield block to upgrade it to a defensive block.

I'm sorry about the steep learning curve people. The next thing I would have liked to do was create more levels to gradually introduce players to all the concepts, but alas I ran out of time, and instead hastily created the instruction images at the beginning.

Thanks for playing the game!

Looks interesting and I love that it's kind of a puzzle/tower defense. But i find it very confusing.

I enjoyed the game: interesting both to look at and play! However, I have to admit that it is a slightly complex game at first, but once you've got the hang of it it's an interesting strategy game.

Thanks for the explanation. Did now well-rate your game. The other posts here already tell you why ; )

Nice to rate a game high for Audio and Mood. Loses a few points for not being that fun... the antigens do too much damage, sometimes they seem to hit a wall yet still do a lot of damage. And the defense cells seem almost useless.

Interesting! Nice take on a biology subject; reminds me a bit of tron if it took place inside the human body. Thanks for the fun li'l game!

Another commenter already pointed this out: but this really is like biological reimagining of Tron - I dig it!

As others have said - it seems to skew a little on the hard side, or may just have instructions that are slightly unclear on a few things.

But you really do have something here! The graphics as they are are great, as is the sound - if you could tweak that gameplay a little you'd have a real title! No joke - imagine this game with touch-controls on iOS or Android?

Bank.

Hell - consult your friend that knows biology - if this game was semi-accurate you'd have biology nerds all over the world downloading the game JUST to show their other biology nerd friends.

Good job on the theme - and also, thanks for making a Unity game that isn't a million pixels by a trillion pixels.

The instructions could've been slightly better, to tell how many resources are needed for each type, that I cant really think of any other negative thing about this game. The graphics and sound made the mood for the game, fascinating theme interpretation and like said already: cellular automation tower defence? Hell yeah! :D

Neat game, although rather difficult. As others have said, the cell types could use a bit more info on what the requirements are.

The ressource use system for building is clever. Very interesting to play, but the game is difficult, the defense tower are not accurate enough.

Nice concept but building is slow and the attacks relentless so it's hard to actually build something that doesn't get immediately destroyed.

I like thre Tron-esque art style! However, the gameplay is a little too hard for my tastes though. The destruction spreading seems a little too harsh, especially at the very beginning of the game. Maybe add weaker enemies in the beginning which doesn't make as much damage?

A good entry! You say that it would be a neverending story! :)
In the web version is impossible to right-click, though.

Cool twist on TDs. I like the concept but the learning curve is pretty steep. I think this game could benefit a lot from multiple levels that builds up the gameplay as you progress. Would love to see this after a bit more work on it!
Heh. Just read your previous comment after writing that. Looks like you are completely on the ball!

The learning curve was too steep for me, I read the intro screens three times but I still couldn't work out how to build any upgrades other than the green squares, then I couldn't work out why some attacks lead to my blocks being destroyed in a chain reaction while other attacks didn't. Also I left it running for a while and there didn't seem to be any clues to whether I was winning or losing! ... In short, this is definitely a game which requires a tutorial!! However, this is a great game and has excellent graphical and audio quality and a really nice approach to the theme. Good work :)

It is too confusing for me, which makes it not very fun to play. The visuals are impressive and the idea is good; it fits the theme well.

I loved the concept, but it's too hard!
Right click on Windows was annoying, kept opening the context menu...
I was kind of overwhelmed by the rules on the beginning, I guess it would be easier if they appeared progressively during the game.
Overall, very good! Congratulations on your first LD. =)
