Obviously the best part was the graphics and it shows. It was your basic run jump and shoot. The physics worked out well for a platformer. The to be continued at the end makes it feel incomplete.

I found it more fun before I worked out how to shoot, getting over the zombies with wall jumps.

Innovation: Nothing new here, but the genre hasn't been overdone to death (like match-3 has).
Theme: What am I escaping from? Nothing here is really explained, and I'm spending most of my time in the game going downwards. I don't see the correlation at all.
Graphics: Everything looked like what it was supposed to be, and the lighting effect gave a nice eerie glow.
Audio: Very rudimentary audio. The walking sound was far too loud.
Fun: One thing that bugged me a lot was the walljumping. I spent most of my time fondling my keyboard into submission in hopes that what I wanted to do might actually happen, mostly to no avail. The rest of the controls worked fine, although I would recommend enabling WASD controls. Also, you are required to use the controls to find out what the controls are, which is a little backwards.

Overall: Kinda fun, kinda meh. Needs work, yet definitely not a negative experience.

I re-spaced this for easier reading, I apologize in advance if this makes another comment with nothing new to say.

Nice game! The walljump is a little tough to conrol and he felt very clingy to the walls (in a negative way) but I had fun with it.

I don't really understand the need for a health system. I have 100HP, but it takes a split second to lose it all. Maybe make it a short regenerative system, so it only punishes the player if they stay in collision with the zombie for too long?

Your pop-up text boxes are sexy, by the way. I'm going to have to peek into your source and see how you did that. :)

Good submission. :)

A very pretty and relative long game. Overall I found the controls to be pretty responsive except for walljumping, which always seem to happen when I didn't want it too :(

I would recommend using A/D for movement and SPACE for jump, or at least giving it as an option.

The lightning was quite nice and mood-setting, did you by any chance use a fancy OpenGL shader? :)

Hi everyone and thank you for your answers ! It's my first time here and it's great to have such constructive comments.
snesgaard -> About the WASD/ARROWs etc, yeah I know I though about that but it was late, and I'm french, I have an azerty keyboard and I always get frustrated to see WASD only games because it don't work that easy for me so arrows was a natural first choice. And about the lighting, I'm an artist much more than a coder, everything is Flash and it's just a radial gradient made in Photoshop with different size and colors within the levels :)

really effective use of light, I liked the art style too. Not very original and I didn't get the "escape" aspect much. I did like the overall tone of the game, having popup instructions was a major plus! good entry.

Graphics are pretty nice, though I think the "glow" effect on the player does not really resemble light (maybe try alpha blending darkness over everything BUT the gaussian around the character?). The physics were a bit wonky for a grid-based platformer; I often would find myself slowly skating on walls. When I got to the "big jump" part, I managed to make it out the top, then fall out of the game, and it froze! Did I win? :)
