It's time to eat! But your wife moved the fridge upstairs because she thinks you're fat. Will it stop you? No! You're going to climb higher and higher and nothing will stop you, even the floor that falls as soon as you step on it.

Very fun game. However it would be better if only on tile dropped while you walk.Other than that its very nice.

Really cool game. The transition between death and restarting the level is perfect, punishing enough that you don't want to fail but not so much that it's a hassle. I died a lot though hahahaha. Also I enjoyed the art style, simple but cute with a nice array of colours

@rawrasaur I am glad you like it!

I'd say that it would feel better, if you evaluate player position strictly on one tile at a time, so there won't by two rows/columns falling simultaneously. But maybe it'll grow on me like it is, I'll give it one more go :)

Neat game concept and I liked the music, at least until the 100th repetition. The basic mechanic is solid and produces many interesting situations, but many of the elements around it are a bit generic and don't "play into" each other, this is something where if you had not just one but several themes that all work together, the game becomes a lot more interesting and easier to expand on - in my devlog for my compo entry I play a "coherence game" to brainstorm such a set of themes, and then used that to come up with all of the major ideas of the game. For example here the whole idea of food and eating is a very good match for "running out of space", but the obstacles and puzzles aren't doing anything to build around that concept.

Cool concept but a bit under-exploited, the falling block are merely affecting the gameplay, as the level design does not push you to go back on your path.
I think that the difficulty ramps up a little to fast, you could introduce the new mechanic in a small level before combining it in a more complex one.

Sadly my windows defender didn't let me download ("Virus detected"). I will try to put it off and play it then.

to the guy telling "the falling block are merely affecting the gameplay" surely you didnt make it past the 3rd level

Nice Aesthetics and I loved "tiles falling when cursor is on it" in the menu
Animation were cute too, but music was a bit annoying...

..Anyways well done!

Great job on this! Good use of the theme. I dig the retro aesthetic and music. The mechanics are fun and the game is challenging. I got stuck on the "It's time to think about the way back" level lol perhaps I need another coffee. Really enjoyed it!

Neat concept, but I think that it would've been a lot more interesting if you made the tiles fall after a certain amount of time and it would be possible to fall down. In the 3rd level, I found that it was mostly about dodging the ghosts instead of worrying about the falling tiles. Anyway, cute and fun game!

Thanks for playing! About the reputability of the music I didn't have time for that, so I did it as quickly as possible.

Pretty simple game, but it is interesting =). Pixelated graphics is not so good, but not so bad. You did a pretty good job ~!

That is quite a challenge. Really well done on the game !
There is some issue with the collider of your character as it appears small but have a bigger collision box than his body, and it can result in frustrating plays.
Well done !

I was having a lot of fun with this, until the final level, which was just really frustrating because it just devolved into trial-and-error with where you can stand, and memorizing the pattern until you made it past the turrets. The song was nice the first time, but got annoying after just a few loops. The graphics are all nice, and the falling tiles going all the way down is a nice touch. I really appreciate that you can't fall down the holes you make while you walk. And maybe it's just me, but I feel like sometimes player's hitbox is a little wonky, but I'm probably wrong. Overall, pretty good.

The history is very funny! The game was challenging and fun.
It was great to go back to the menu to change the screen size and then go back to the level you were playing.
I found a little annoying the colliders touching 1 or 2 tiles of the floor, but i guess that's part of the game's challenge.
