Avoid the Wall Simulator 2016 by avoidwallcrew

[raw]
made by avoidwallcrew for LD35 (JAM)
Description
===========

Avoid the walls, don't blow up

Controls
========

Click or touch a body part, drag it to move it.
Keep your body from touching the walls.
The buttons on the bottom will lock/unlock your legs, use that to your advantage to get past certain obstacles.
Red indicates the leg is locked, green indicates it is not.

Beware, when your legs are unlocked that could mean you fall over.

Note: the speed the body parts move is relative to how far you are dragging from the body part. It could still use a little work.

I think the body part movement when dragging was a little slow, but other than that, this is a solid entry, well done!

Fun game to play, the concept was a good use of the theme.

The game play was a little on the slow side but it was still enjoyable to play.

Awesome idea really! I thought a similar thing with anchors when the theme got announced. Really liked what you did with it. Good job!! :)

This is a really cool concept, but the dragging could be faster. It's also hard to get the character back into a decent position when he's practically fallen over.

It was nice but the body part dragging was a bit sluggish

Good Game. Moving the body parts still feels slightly too difficult.

Body parts felt reallly heavy, but game idea, visuals and overall mood is wonderful

Is it just me, or is one of his feet stapled to the ground. It's impossible to survive one of the walls, because his foot appears to be a static object in space, and can't move where the hole is.

Hard but the physics made me lol, a bit slow to move parts

Good concept, but the implementation seems a bit clunky. Instead of pulling the mouse far to the sides all the time to get more speed on the body part movement I'd preferred it if it were simply faster. Also I couldn't make the character stand up again if I had to make him do the splits. I actually shot the character through the room by accident while trying. I think with more responsiveness, easier control of the character and faster gameplay this would be an awesome game.

I could not pass the third door, It look that I needed to move the char to the side, but I could not do it. The way you used the theme was interesting.

The controls where a little counter-intuitive and slow and the music is too loud. Apart from that, it's a fantastic submission

Hehe, I love the concept, and especially love the music! The graphics are great, and it's definitely remarkable that you've made a jam game that supports mobile. The controls do feel a little stiff, but other than that it's great. Overall, great job!

A nice take on the theme and a fun game. As others have said, moving the body parts can be a bit frustrating.
