Locobe by krunoslav

Forest simulation + Fight + Serius game = Locobe: Plant trees to fight desertification, do not let it reach the city!
Controls
Plant a tree with a click Arrows to scroll Mouse wheel to zoom Esc to quit
Rules
Desert attack from the sea. Forest can stop it, the wind comes from North-West to South-East. If desert reach the South-East side, you lose.
Dynamics
Desert moves to the South-East. Little trees will die easier than old trees. Old trees will reproduce.
Humans are not smart, they want to increase their production in short term, so they will chop the trees to increase their lands. It will be hard to fight agains desert and humans.
Mysc
Locobe is a beach in Chile that has beatiful dunas, but the sand is expanding because we are devastating the forest. In many countries desertification is a problem, so I think it is a nice game to learn why it is so hard to fight against it.
The graphics are inspired in SimCity2000, a game that I loved but it was not green at all. I wanted to add a green perspective to the games: you can not just grow.

Nice game guys!
(For the feedback, when I die the counter continues to increment and I can not restart the game)

The art is basic but nice. It reminds me of some very old tiles I made back in the early 2000's on my Amiga for an isometric pirate game, so I have warm and fuzzy nostalgic feelings right now. 😃 Because it's isometric, I couldn't really see what was happening on some tiles hidden behind tall trees at one point, however.
Nice work!
Mine is kinda a throwback but then again not really, check it out and you will see what i mean :)
