An Abnormality by TheCain

[raw]
made by TheCain for LD35 (JAM)
A short Twine game I made at the last minute. I hadn't planned to enter at all, but changed my mind.
This is the first Twine game I have made.
It's Twine, so presumably it's a HTML5 game, or Java script.

Edit-
Added scroll-bar. One of the scenes was cut off when not in full-screen mode.

Edit 2-
Made window slightly bigger and removed the scroll bar.
Every page should have a link, if you see one that doesn't, please notify me.

Edit 3-
Fixed some typos in the game. Made the [...] option more clear that it was a choice.

Edit 4-
small tweaks. Changed [...] option because I am a very paranoid person.

Cool concept for a game about shapeshifting. Would be better if it was a longer but overall good job!

The story's well written, though it would have been nice if it were longer.

Ah, I love a little text adventure. That was neat, left just the right amount to imagination. Thanks for this

Needs a little more work to get your ultimate story across.

I'll just echo what everyone else has said - too short! I enjoyed what was there, and definitely wanted more.

Interesting and impressionistic? A really good excuse to be able to rate some games!

Well done!

Clever game, but would have loved to play a little more.

Well-written aside from the occasional typo here and there ("to close" instead of "too close" etc.), and the story had an eerie atmosphere.

Good entry considering the limited time you had!

Good twine game, it is a little confusing though, I think it would have been better if it was clearer what was going on, but good job

Twine, yeah! Short, but with an intense mood. I kinda liked it, even if the later bit was rather linear.

Pretty cool, we're many to do textual adventures on ludum dares. That's a good first game. Ï should try twine myself one day...

Gotta agree with others, it sounds like an interesting story but a tad confusing. Right now my theory is that the shapeshifter's true nature is a word, or something similarly abstract (dunno, it seemed like the book was the home, or something).

Not bad, especially for last-minute excuse for voting in LD. ;)

That was pretty cool. Loved the writing style (abrupt, but still fairly descriptive, keeps you in suspence), and from what I could tell it fits the theme nicely, but now I want you to try writing more!

A bit short, but still entertaining nonetheless. I didn't rate you on humor though (doesn't really make sense to vote for that category)

I actually really love the mood to this. I liked that it showed what you clicked on already when you play through again. Some of it was really great poetry. When there is one statement that you have to click on, it really emphasizes it. It's like a new tool to use in creative writing! So a very cool concept.

Short poetic game which is well written. It could be interesting to continue this project. I like your main idea - to do something in order to rate other games. Well done ++

I like this kind of thing a lot. Subtle, does not try to explain itself. You can take the time to figure it out and be rewarded or give up and play more Halo. Pretty good for the time it sounds like you spent.

Interesting. Definitely full of atmosphere, but I may be a bit too slow to pick up on the greater meaning!

Interesting and original idea... but I think you must to introduce more multimedia elements (like fx/music) to make the player feel the story. Good entry.
