How to play

You control the blue castle on top of the planet. There are only 2 basic actions to play this game: 1) Train a new unit and 2) send a unit to the field.

Button.png

  • To train a new unit, click on "+" button. It will require some resources, you can check the cost (and get some help on unit function) by placing mouse cursor over it. The button will be invisible if there are not enough resources. The number "x2" tells how many units of this type you have in castle.
  • To send a unit to the field, click on unit's icon and choose the direction (left or right) from castle.

You can't send units while the castle is busy training something (although you can cancel the training by clicking on "Stop!" button)

Resources and collectors

Resources.png

Resources are used to train new units. They will spawn on planet surface from time to time. Send collectors units to catch them (Farmers for crops, Lumberjacks on trees, Miners on stone, iron and mana).

WARRR

The other units are the castle's army. They will attack other units and enemy castles.

Spearmen are fast troops for quick assaults, useful for hunting enemy collectors. Soldiers are slow, heavy armored and does a lot of damage. Archers are short range units with good rate of fire. Mages have long range fireball attack but they are somewhat fragile. Catapults are siege weapons with insane range but they attack enemy castles only.

Castles will also fire arrows on near enemy troops.

Oh, a last unit, the builders

When sent to the field, they work on castle repairs. Each repair will cost a stone from resources.

Winning

Bring all enemy castles to the ground. Good Luck!

Ludum Dare 38 adventure

Well, another finished LD (this is my 15th edition). Also my first entry with 2D graphics. I worked alone in this one. Graphics made with Photoshop, music on FL Studio. I'm using the Unity 5.6 with no code base. It should be a 48 hours entry but by Sunday night the AI were terrible. As always, it was amazing to take part of this.

Post compo fixes

  • A small bug on starting game
  • A bug that prevents game over

I thoroughly enjoyed the idea, although on a widescreen, I had to adjust the web browser just so I could see everything. Overall, I liked the idea!
