That intro was oozing atmosphere, like seriously cool. Unfortunately however the game itself didn't work (windows version). Most of the elements seemed to be there just the screen was completely whitewashed.

Really liked the visual style and mood of the game. Out of most of the entries I've played so far, this one did a pretty decent job of holding my attention for awhile. I feel like the controls could be refined a little bit more. Other than that, enjoyed playing it.

Loved the game. I really needed something like this... it reminds me some old Commodore 64 game :)

I'd love to see some in-game instruction how to play, It's easy to figure it out but It takes few tries. I love the graphics and overall mood of the game. Evading attacks is a lot of fun :)

@jack-folkner yes, I would like to make a bug free version which removes unintended bugs from the Jam version. By Friday I'll finish my "feature freeze and bug fix" and next week I have some ideas I want to add for more levels/stages etc. I don't mind being rated on the Jam version but arrows aren't supposed to stop mid air when they hit each other, and thats literally a one boolean on an if statement to fix.

Excellent cohesive structure; the graphics and audio both help to establish a consistent mood. I would have liked a little more feedback on how effective I was / how much damage I was doing to the demon; without that, I did find it a little hard.

@baby-dino-herd I have a counter for the hits and all it was just glitching the final version so I cut it. I'll toss that in the bug free version.

It's impossible not to get hit by those scratch attacks. That's unfair and unfun.

@ganbaregameskyle its totally possible to dodge the attacks, I beat the game to make sure its fair. I've done it on many pc's and with each weapon. Is it glitching for you?

It was totes hard, yo. Not impossible, but hard. I think a large part is the movement speed, when I'm falling I get hit by horizontal attacks because I can't move side to side and falling isn't fast enough to get me out of the way. Still a solid game though, the difficulty didn't kill the fun.

@dragonzbw you can dash downwards for that

The visuals and audio were simply amazing, no better way to describe it. It's a bit unclear what we're supposed to be doing. Having maybe a tutorial-like stage at the beginning would've been better.

That was actually super fun. It was a bit hard to figure it out, but the fast pacing I finally got the hang of after a while. I kept trying to kill it, but I had no idea if I was actually damaging the demon or if it had avoided me! Some sort of indication would have been nice.

And damn, those swipes! The scratchy ones are so hard to avoid - I don't know if I've successfully avoided them so far!

Really great game! I think even my favorite of all the games I've played and rated so far!

The gameplay itself was simple and engaging enough to get me hooked, but challenging enough that I couldn't just win right away. It actually made me want to keep trying again, because I could tell that it was definitely within my skill range and I was just not playing well rather than the game actually being too difficult. Reading through the description after playing made me realize I missed a lot of the subtleties of the combat, like what the candles around me even were or the fact that I could get a second spell with the staff, but it was still fun nonetheless. :)

Really cool game. I really like the movement, being able to dash down to dodge the attacks was satisfying. The aim and click nature of the attack system was difficult for me to get used to, overall I didn't mind it though. I made it to phase three and then the game kept freezing for me, not sure if it was an issue on my end or with the game itself. In any case, this game works great as a whole package, the visuals, audio and gameplay all worked together nicely. Very challenging!

Really stylish entry. I love the graphics and how they fit in with the gameplay. It's super-hard, though that seems like what you were going for. Great work.

The art in this is amazing - I love the detail and the sort of gritty / smoky pixel animation. Good music / sound too. It's pretty difficult, but I started to get the hang of it after a while. Nice work!

I Recently played your game during a live stream at your request. You can find the video [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEKsM8vugRs) .

I really enjoyed your game! I liked how it took energy to throw my sword and I had to spend time building more energy by dodging. It was a good back and forth balance between the player and the bad guy. Excellent entry!

if you haven't already please give my game a try [Zombie Power Station](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/zombie-power-station) HTML5 Thanks
