never worry about what your first game turns out like. Just know that it will only get better as you work on it!
Keep up the good work

It's reaaly good for your first jam! It's even compo, i didn't have enough courage to participate in compo tho. So good work. You should have pivotted the tanky from the center tho, that feels somewhat weird. Other than that, it was fun!

Pretty cool for your first game! Definitely better than the first game I made. A score counter would be a cool addition. Overall though its fun!

I'll join in with the others and congratulate you for using Ludum Dare as an excuse to make your first game. I had fun shooting ants. Like @generalsturgeon said: the more you make, the more you learn.

Congratulations for your first game. Just add some timer so the game will be challenging, who will stay longer. :)

The first jam is always tough, but you pulled through in style with a **drifting** tank. Tell me that was a design choice and not a mistake!

Anyway, there's really only one thing missing here, which is either a bug kill counter or a survival timer. The latter would make more sense in this case given the theme. Talking of the theme, a tank is an "it" I guess, yet a wave shooter is not a new idea.

For a first jam, of course, you don't need a new idea. What you need is something *doable* and you *did do* just that, a *doable* design which you then *do-done-did*. Keep *doing* things.

Nice game. The art is nice. I like the particle effect. When trying to turn the tank i would make the rotation on center of the object and not the pivot or maybe you are using a rotateAround instead of just rotate. Overall i liked it.

For a first jam game this isn't half bad, we all start somewhere and though this game has its floors and its quite unpolished i got a surprising amount of enjoyment out of it, well done. :3

Nice work for the first time. For me it was quite inconvinient to control the tank. I think you should try to continue the development and add more interesting mechanics!

This game is very primitive, but I read that this is your first project and you participated in compo. It’s good that you didn’t give up and finish this little thing, this is a great development experience for you. Don't give up and participate in the future! Nice try!

A heck of a lot better than my first game was, although I don't really see what it has to do with the theme. Nevertheless, doing a game jam for your first game was a good idea, and a great way to get that experience out of the way so you can focus on improving. You should definitely keep making games if you enjoy it.

For a first game, it isn't bad. In fact, it's actually quite good! Just a few tips for you:

1 - Focus a bit more on the UI, add a score counter and make the health indicator more obvious
2 - Audio can make a game much better. Add some "pew" and some "splat"
3 - Particle systems can make a game look much better.
4 - Figure out a system which allows you to aim well or an aiming indicator
5 - MUSIC! I didn't add music into my first game, but it really can make a game more engaging.
6 - Work on the main menu. Maybe add something about controls or something.

Things you did well:

1 - The combat loop worked well
2 - There was an actual way to quit
3 - Movement worked well, the enemy AI was fine
4 - Nice graphics and Minimalist design
5 - It was a nice and challenging game

In all, this is a fantastic first attempt at a game, particularly for unity. Well done!
