Keep up the good work
Anyway, there's really only one thing missing here, which is either a bug kill counter or a survival timer. The latter would make more sense in this case given the theme. Talking of the theme, a tank is an "it" I guess, yet a wave shooter is not a new idea.
For a first jam, of course, you don't need a new idea. What you need is something *doable* and you *did do* just that, a *doable* design which you then *do-done-did*. Keep *doing* things.
You can think about adding some stuff to it later
Good job!
Keep it up!
1 - Focus a bit more on the UI, add a score counter and make the health indicator more obvious
2 - Audio can make a game much better. Add some "pew" and some "splat"
3 - Particle systems can make a game look much better.
4 - Figure out a system which allows you to aim well or an aiming indicator
5 - MUSIC! I didn't add music into my first game, but it really can make a game more engaging.
6 - Work on the main menu. Maybe add something about controls or something.
Things you did well:
1 - The combat loop worked well
2 - There was an actual way to quit
3 - Movement worked well, the enemy AI was fine
4 - Nice graphics and Minimalist design
5 - It was a nice and challenging game
In all, this is a fantastic first attempt at a game, particularly for unity. Well done!
