Here's MXG's entry!
Had to make the first version alone, because Toby was unable to join me.

What's this about?
You plant trees. (Only one tree as of now)
Crates does nothing (yet)

Because some people had problems: Here's a FAQ
Q: How do I plant?
A: Press "E" on the big square!

Q: How do I exit the game?
A: Why would you?? lol seriously, you would have to alt-tab out, and close it manually for now. I will add a pause menu which will allow you to reset, go to main menu, and quit.


to do:
Add pause menu
tighten up the tree's graphics*
add more trees
add more sfx*

The game uses to much memory.
I loved the music but I do not understand what to do.. I only planted one tree..
And I cannot exit, I had to kill the process :)

I can't or don't know how to plant a tree. Literally pressed every key on my keyboard. I like the idea, the music and I felt really good by walking around. It's a peaceful game.

This looks to me like one of those times where your ambition was bigger than your timeframe.

Graphics and sound are pretty good though.

Tried out your game, it was pretty short in terms of gameplay. I couldn't find the planting square first, so I restarted the game and then it was there.. Then I plant the tree and tried to do something with boxes, but I guess those weren't implemented.. then I just wen't and fly around the map.. :D I assume that you tried to do something too ambitious within an available time-frame :o ? Anyway, keep working on it, it looks great. :)

Loved the low poly graphic style and the concept behind the game: what could represent growing better than planting a tree? It's too bad your partner couldn't join you, cause it seems more mechanics were left out and it can't offer much gameplay right now. Feels relaxing, love the concept and the music is great. Keep it up!

The graphics, idea, and mood are good, but I wish you had more gameplay to offer. One implementation you may have been able to get done quickly would simply be removing all of the trees that are already there and making them all plots. Then the player would go around and make a forest instead of the forest already being there.

I don't think I am sure what is going on. I planted my tree and nothing happened after that. Nice graphics and music though.

I liked the graphics and the music, but there wasn't really a game =P I hope you flesh this out more in the future, it looks really good and maybe you could make it some kind of first person resource management game?

The whole experience is like the ending credits to a hard day and I'm glad you had the balls to go 3D. Can't wait for the sequel: Plant Another Tree

There wasn't really a whole lot here. Would have been nice to see some more to do other than plant one tree and walk around, BUT making a 3d game that looks this good and works this effectively in GameMaker is quite an accomplishment. The music was nice, and there was a good mood to the game.

I like the music and the graphics are nice, but it doesn't feel much of a game, since there is only 1 tile that can be clicked to pop in a tree :/

Interesting start! Nice graphics and sound, and it teases an interesting idea, but I wasn't sure if there was anything to do after planting that one tree.

Hmmm ignore my comment about pressing Alt+F4 to esc it doesn't work. Well I could plant one tree and that was it. Wondering why this got so many views but I guess it's just random. I expect it would have been quite interesting and relaxing to play if it was possible to plant more trees. I would suggest making them saplings first. Then you run around and plant a whole pile, then sit back and crank the time of day to watch them grow. Anyhoo - showed promise. Nice one.

Given the music is the only audio in the game and it's 3rd party, it's best to disable voting for it in your entry.

wow. you plant one tree. And then you are trapped in the woods. This game is the definition of nonsense, but i have to admit that this soundtrack is very chatchy :)
