Blueprints by David Hunter

[raw]
made by David Hunter for Ludum Dare 47 (COMPO)

Two dots bound together by a loop must traverse obstacles to reach their destination.

Instructions, try to get the dots across the level to the flag-pole.

A,D move left and right. Q or Left Shift grab onto a surface. E or Left Ctrl switch player Space jump.

You control two dots one at a time. Switch between the dots using E or Left Ctrl. Dots are connected by a rope. The rope is stretchy. Given enough stretch it will pull the uncontrolled dot around. A dot can resist the rope by holding on to a surface. If the rope gets long enough the controlled dot cannot proceed any further. If the rope is too long any dots attempting to hold on will be force-ably removed. the rope will wrap round world objects.

Dots can move (A,D), jump (space) and grab onto surfaces (Q or Left Shift). If grab is selected the dot will attempt to grab the next surface it touches.!

Hi,
both web versions for me load only to like 95% and then stop. I am using Chrome on Windows10.

I tried the windows version and it realy is a nice game! good job! creative interpretation of the theme.

I solved most puzzles by just building up lots of momentum. maybe that is a bit too op. I would maybe use some sharper acceleration but capping the top speed of the balls.

The WebGL version is fixed now. For those who are interested I disabled the compression, it seams to be causing issues lately (05/10/2020)

I like this game more than I think I have any right to. When you die, you're booted back to the start menu. The movement is somehow both too floaty and too fast, and the controls are a bit confusing. However, somehow, all these elements come together into a pretty darn enjoyable final product. I always like games where learning the workings of the game is half the fun, and this is one of those games. I also really quite like the art direction.

The movement is a bit floaty but still somehow enjoyable. I don't know, just swinging around at high speed was oddly enjoyable. I also liked the art style

Very nice idea. It didn't take long to learn the controls, and start getting some strategy going. Liked it. Nice Job

I can see what you were going for but I feel the controls need a bit of tightening. Cool idea though, I'd like to see it taken further.

Great art style. I liked the mechanics but found the controls a bit fiddly.
