I really like the concept of controlling the snake by placing targets. The ability to create a pile of apples and force the snake to eat them is fun, too (although I'm not sure if that was intentional). For me the game freezes after reaching the checker area on the first level.

I like the idea of the concept and the graphics are cool. I also like the fact that in the main menu you drop an apple to start which indicates the controls of the game. The gameplay wasn't that great tho, when the snakes eats the second apple the game just frozed. Keep it up.

Interesting concept. You could track how many apples a player users and reward them for using the least amount. As with @ecmjohnson the game crashed after completing the level.

Yeah, I'm getting some weird frozen bug too.

Cool idea! If there indeed are no more levels after the first one (which is totally understandable in a 72 hour game jam), then I want to encourage you to develop the game further and add more content. But if there are already more levels, then you probably should look into the bug that we all in the comments are having. Also consider making a HTML5 build so that more people are likely to try your game.

The idea was nice, but you probably need to work out a few bugs and improve the actual implementation :)

Nice game. But I always get stuck in my self aswell. Should you be able to move with a and d or should you only use the apples or both? This wasnt clear to me. Very cool idea and I love the graphics.

The game just completely freezes after a snake grows to some size (not at the same snake size every time, but I tried playing three times and it froze each time). The idea is interesting but it could definitely use more work to be playable.

Yeah freezes for me too, but I kept trying and did get to the snake-a-verse! I like that you teach the player that they can drop apples on the main menu, that's quite clever. However, despite that, my initial reaction was to use WASD, this caused the snake to 180 his head and chew his body haha. Once I found out I could just use the mouse it was fine, but any touch of the horizontal axis destroys this lad.
I think this could be a really cute game with a bit more polish. Good work!

Nice idea but this version's a bit buggy, as you obviously know. I love the design of the snake!

Really interesting game. It was fun to control the movement of the snake by giving it apples. But when I got to the left black-and-white area, the game froze. qwq

Nice concept. The game crashed when the snake went into the wall or when the snake was at the chequered flag.
