This is my first Ludum Dare game. Game was made using Unity3D game engine.

If chrome blocks downloading, please disable it in config, use other browser or play web version.


In this game you are cell. Bigger cells absorb smaller ones. Cells without AI and bigger than you are red. You move by ejecting mass using Newton's Third Law. Use left mouse button to eject mass. Green cells are enemy AI cells. Your objective is to absorb all green cells. You can create friendly turquoise cells using right mouse button. Friendly cells will not chase you or run away from you. However if they are bigger then you they can absorb you. You can call friendly cells to merge with you by holding middle mouse button. You can zoom in and out using mouse scroll.

Background texture was made using noise in GIMP.
Cells are meshes made using blender.
Mass ejection sound effect was done using my mouth and recorded in Audacity.
Boundary texture was made in GIMP

Game was made solo during 72h period.
Game is inspired by Osmos, agar.io and Spore.

Additional features such as upgrades or different cell types was planned but didn't made because of time limit.

Controls:
Left mouse button - eject mass
Right mouse button - create ally
Middle mouse button - summon allies
Mouse scroll - zoom
Escape - exit game

Nice game. There were a few stretched moments where nothing was really happening though. I like having to shoot the smaller orbs out to move.

Neat game. I don't understand the point of creating allies though since they don't do anything to directly benefit you.

Ben Allen, I know, allies aren't very usefull unfortunately, but you can spawn them in top of enemies to quickly catch them

Pretty addicting! Simple concept and easy mechanics to pick up! I'm not entirely sure why I would make an AI cell though. Overall, great work!
