As the best detective in the Downtown Kyoto Police Department’s time warping division your job is to stop a duo of criminals from setting off a bomb hidden in a random room at the motel. There are three ways to stop this bomb: - Knockout both of the terrorists - Find the code to diffuse the bomb - Cut the two correct wires on the back of the bomb

Die.gif

This might seem like an impossible task but there is hope. Seeing as you are in the time warping division, every night at midnight you will turn back time to 8AM where you can start the investigation again with all the knowledge that you've gained as well as a shadow of yourself that repeats all of your passed action.

Your clipboard contains hints that you should reveal AS YOU NEED THEM this way you can control the difficulty

Controls

C - open your clipboard

A , D - Move left and right

E - Enter a room / staircase

Q - Hit the enemy

Walk over the bomb which is hidden in a room to open up the bomb interface, flipping it around to expose the wires.

You can change the colour of people once you have decided that they're suspicious by clicking on them and assigning a colour to them.

I really like the game! Although the story isn't too deep, it has a great gameplay and its mechanic is impressive. I enjoy it a lot and it is a really good theme. But I'm a bit annoyed that we have to go back to menu and restart the intro instead of retrying the game immediately. Overall, it's a pretty good game and concept.

It is a great concept! I think there was too much information at the start, especially the instructions and controls. Great job on the mechanics and graphics!

Very pretty and a great concept for a puzzle! It would be nice if the characters all had something visually unique about them from the start (given randomly perhaps?). It is hard to track a single character from the electric box to the graffiti wall for example, especially if they pit-stop all in the same room. I ended up killing guys randomly until one wasn't a bystander, and then finding the person next to the bomb.

I didn't understand how I can solve the puzzle. It was really fast. I liked the music.

Very atmospheric and cool game! There's a lot of content given the time constraints and the game really looks really polished. Nice job!

Wow, that's impressive! It's very engaging. I like the colouring mechanic especially, although the colour selection should probably stay in place - it's difficult to assign a colour to a moving person. I would definitely want to play an extended version.

Great atmosphere! The aesthetic is very cohesive and kept me interested in exploring each piece of the set.

I think you managed to get a lot of things done in this short time! Animations feel nice, overall aesthetics and mood is good.

It is indeed challenging but I also found it natural to fail a couple of times and retry with the knowledge from the previous rounds.

If you want to continue working on this game (and I think you should!) I think you should add sound effects for punching, opening doors and maybe some other things :)

Congratulations, well done!

Cool puzzle game. Not as hard as advertised but nice! I once killed one of the criminals just as the day was ending and it was pretty funny watching the time roll back with a lifeless violet body of a criminal floating around the floors.

The game plays well and the music is quite atmospheric. I wish the investigator looked different from other characters. But other than that: great jam job!

Liked the atmosphere and music. Visuals were nice and gave a great feel. Enjoyed the rewind on the failure. The gameplay was little frustrating at times. Often found myself hitting the wrong person even though I saw them do it. But regardless solid effort and a lot done in 3 days. Well done.

It was kind of hard to understand what's the player supposed to do but once I got into it, it was really great. Loved the concept and the art style - the atmosphere was also great.

Very unique idea for gameplay and *man* the mood is good. The music and lighting and art all come together very nicely to immerse you in the scenario.

Triple threat was hard but soooo satisfying to beat! Was really fulfilling to have the option of working everything out without hints.

Nice game! It's got good graphics and and a fun concept. The ability to color people was a pretty neat mechanic for trying to find the criminals, and overall the process of finding them was just neat. My main issues are that the player could be a bit more distinguishable from the crowd, and some of the sprites appear in front of characters when I feel like they shouldn't (like the graffiti being in front of the characters, for instance.) I feel like the method of winning the game I got a bit frustrated over was the code. I feel like I found the numbers to the code, but no matter how I enter them in it doesn't seem to work. There's probably just some other clue to the puzzle I'm not considering, but I wouldn't know. Overall though, great game. Well done!

I liked it.
The only suggestion I have is - when you kill innocent bystander, I wouldn't have ended the game - I would add the ability to kill your past self on the next day, to prevent it.

@vlandemart That's a really good idea, definitely worth putting in and I wish that I came up with that

Great game! I liked a lot the mood and graphics. The reverse effect after the bomb explodes was great. Good job!
