"Holy Fire Knight" is Dungeon game, where the goal is to bring the holy fire to your king.

How to Play

Download the jar file, and run it (you must have Java 1.8 or newer installed)

WASD to move E or P to interact L or mouse-left to attack

Weapons have four values:

DMG (damage), KNB (knockback), RNG (range), CLD (cooldown)
all of these are defined as "bonuses".
eg. a DMG 5 means that you deal "5 + base_damage" of damage

Keep it alive

After you take the holy fire, you need keep it alive with coal. If the fire extinguish, you lose!

Nice concept
I really liked the maze and the art graphics
When you die you restart in the same room is a nice touch
The attack mechanic was kind of tough, would be nice if the radius was larger

@smirnov48 the indicated numbers are bonuses: so dmg:0 means that there is no bonus on damage.

I added a little explanation in the game description. Thanks for the feedback!

A solid idea with nice pixel-art. Hitting enemies was a bit hard though, as you need to grab the exact frame damage can be inflicted.

For some reason double click to run didn't work. I'm on Windows 10 and I needed to use powershell with "java -jar ./Holy_Fire_Knight.jar". I also ran into an index out of bounds in level.LevelLoader.next(LevelLoader.java:38) on my first run :cry:

I played again and I won! I loved the flame animation at the end :smile:

Cool game! The enemies were a bit tough tho, but other than that it was good :)

Really cool game,the graphics and art are nice, but i think the first sword is total garbage and the enemies are hard, however the dificulty kinda doesnt matter because of its not perma death

I saw you only needed one vote. I think it's cool, but it could use some polish. I liked the idea. Good concept.
If you worked on the animation and made the combat a bit smoother I think you'd have a solid game. Thumbs up from here!

The game is good, with solid concept and mechanics. The art and sound effects are great. The combat could use some work though. It's hard to fight enemies since the attack effect doesn't increase with range. The enemies don't have any wind-up to their attacks so its hard to predict when an attack is coming and move out of the way.
