Ravenous Void by Al Bueche
Brave the unknown to gather the power to fend off the darkness.
Use WASD to move around the world.
All code and assets were created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 45. The game was created with Unity 2018. Most of the models were created with unity's bas shapes. The map is continuously generated before its edges are approached. The background music is generated in code from a JSON music description file.

I waited the game out to see if there were any consequences to failing to grab the power cubes, and was a little disappointed because nothing seemed to happen, however the spookiness of the ambiance combined with the odd music kept me intrigued nonetheless. Maybe if this game was shorter by a "day", I would have enjoyed this more. It felt perfect at three in-game days.
Going from the description, it sounds like there's a lot going on behind the scenes than shows in the game itself, specifically in music generation and world generation.
I actually want to peck at this one a bit, as there seems to be more music than the game itself seems to include. This looks like a really interesting puzzle box of code.
