GAME INFO
Phase 7 is an arcade strategy game, where you are responsible for the evacuation of a distant colony world. A terrible virus is spreading among the population, and you have to decide, who will have a chance to start a new life among the stars, and who will remain and surely die.
GOALS
Your goal is to evacuate as many people from the surface of the planet as possible before embarking on an interstellar journey. You are free to choose when to leave the planet, but more passengers means more chances of survival on a new world. There are SIX ENDINGS based on your performance.
GAMEPLAY
- Perform rescue missions
- Scan for infected using your Omniscanner (it conveniently marks the infected)
- Use your Mining Laser to keep the infected away from the drop ship
- Sterilize the ship's compartments In case the infected managed to enter the drop ship.
- It is very important to use the sterilizer sparingly as it is a finite resource!
- You can't end mission and return to the mothership when there are infected on board!
- Some of the civilians carry Omniscanner batteries and Sterilizer charges. However, these helpful guys can also be infected.
CONTROLS
- SPACE or "SCAN" button - Scan with the Omniscanner
- LEFT MOUSE CLICK - Use the Mining Laser
- S or "STERILIZE" button - Sterilize the cabin crew compartment to remove the infected
- F or "LIFTOFF" button - End mission to return to the mothership for resupply.
POST JAM bug fix.
- Added second death animation (graphics, animation and sounds were made during the Jam, but we didn't have time to add the code)
- Improved sound of sterilization (added steam to match the effect)
- Removed white border from the UI panel background to improve readability
Be vigilant, persevere and keep humanity alive!

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
and a bit of post-mortem reminiscence
- As usual, we made our game using our own cross-platform "Symphony Engine". We are always discussing whether we should switch to some publicly available engine with more features and better support, but then another LD comes, and we have to make a game, not learn a new engine.
- Animations have been made using Spine from http://esotericsoftware.com/ - a great tool we'd love to use commercially for our other serious projects (read: non gaming), but their licensing and pricing is still forbidding (but Spine is absolutely amazing if you are just making games!). Guys, we'll have to resort to using Lottie!
- Art was created using Sketch, Corel, Photoshop - a variety of tools because our team doesn't work together in ordinary life.
- Visual Studio and SublimeText were used to write code (there is no escaping the xCode, so it was used too).
- Sounds have been edited using Audacity http://www.audacityteam.org/ - it works, and that's all we needed, but using Adobe Audition before was sooooo much easier.
- Music was recorded using GarageBand for iPadOS
- It is important to note that some of the source sounds have been downloaded from https://freesound.org/ - a very helpful resource with lots of sounds which can be used to make your own sfx.
- Emergency announcements were created using https://voicechanger.io/ - it's just an awesome easy to use tool. Source audio was recorded on macOS standard system TTS voices.
- We used Telegram and Google Meet for team communication - Meet has great video calls and doesn't require any applications to be installed, and Telegram is a great tool for chats (audio calling in Telegram sucks, but maybe it's because it is being blocked in Russia?).
- We used Google Docs to create project documentation. Typical stuff.

I've also made a game when you must keep the humanity alive, check it out ;)
Anyway, your game is great
Is it a 420 on BB8's body by the way?
(I will definitely keep the post-jam version around to see the other endings)
I didn’t understand if you should complete x number of missions, so I quit before I reached any ending because it looked like the levels were repeating.
We had:
- Two programmers,
- One level/gameplay designer,
- Two artists
- One unskilled worker (that would be me) who also made sfx
+one person who only had time to participate in discussions during the first day
+wife of the above mentioned unskilled worker who made two music tracks (isn't she lovely?).
We are adults (mostly with kids), so the most difficult part was to find time to participate. Oh well... :joy:
and some sounds are very loud

What a horrifying and hilarious game. Saturated in moral dilemma! The cute and photo-real juxtaposition kind of recalls an Amanita game. I love it! The scenario also reminded me of the BSG remake- with a Covid-19 twist. The sound effects are spine tingling- from the fiery screams to the cold voice over the loudspeaker. Doubly impressed that this was built from the ground up. Congratulations and thanks for the game!
@maskrosen Thanks! You are so kind :)
@shintaro-kk Well, we rarely have time to add tutorials, but really sorry about that. And making of the sounds was also a challenge with so little time left, I didn't have time to work on equalising.
