Diggy Diggy Down by Schuster

Introduction
Diggy Diggy Down, inspired by 1984's Boulder Dash, is a game where the player attempts to collect gems while avoiding boulders. Whenever the player moves, they dig out a tile of dirt. Watch out for boulders above, because if they are not supported, they will fall and crush you.
At the bottom of the level is the exit door, it's a long way down.
There are three types of gems: Blue and red loose gems and green gems that are imbedded in the dirt. Each has a different value to add to your haul.

Cute entry.... didn't play it back then but I got to thinking about Boulder Dash  On my laptop it seemed to lack quite a deal. (FYI)
I hope you'll drop by mine and give it a spin

At first it seems like the game has no challenge since you can avoid boulders very easily, and there aren't any enemies, but I found myself trying to go as fast as possible which led to a bunch of mistakes. Seeing those shiny red gems under boulders is too tempting to pass up. However if you just go straight down and focus on avoiding the boulders directly in your path, the game is a cakewalk
I think the game could greatly benefit from enemies, or even just a simple time limit to add pressure, also some unbreakable blocks
Anyway, fun game! I got crushed by a rock pretty early so it was clear to me how to progress through the rest of the game thereafter. BTW Is $8650 a good score?
The music was pretty enjoyable.
Overall a nice game :)
There is a 3 rock formation in a line whose first boulder I could enter, and moving left from there killed me. Also the game threw an error when I pressed "quit".
Controls are responsive, and the speed the game allows is quite addictive. As others already said, going too fast leads to mistake and defeat; it's nice, it plays on greed, I like it. Good job :)
If anything, it might be nice for the gameplay to get a little trickier towards the end. I found the boulders were quite easy to avoid, as long as I was patient and reasonably careful.
Good entry! Absolutely fits the theme very well.
